Initial test Pattern
Two parts of intelligence portion: Verbal and non-verbal
Time: 75 questions in 30 minutes

Verbal portion:
First of all, time management is most important factor in intelligence portion, and much practice is required to manage the test properly.
Important topics:
⭐Completion of series questions like:
9, 16, 25, 36…
Ans: 49
Mostly questions were from series.
⭐ Relationship and analogy questions like:
Hand is to arm and foot is to…
And: Leg.
⭐ 2 or 3 questions come from synonyms and antonyms.
⭐ Coding and deciding questions are also most important. Let me give you an example.
13579 vs a, c, e, g, I .. in the same way 2, 4,6,8,10
Ans: b,d,f, h,j (Optios will be provided)
✨ Important tip to solve these questions, write the complete ABC along with numbers on the page right before starting the test. Trust me, it saves much time.
⭐1 or maximum 2 questions come from blood relationship portion like
If A and B are two children of C. C is father of A but B isn’t C’s son. What will be the relationship (B to C)
Guys if you find difficulty in solving questions quickly, just skip them and move forward, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to complete the rest of even easiest questions.
⭐ Choose odd one. These are easy and important questions in which we’ve to simple choose the different option among all. E.g
Water, food, mango, plate
Ans: plate
⭐ Some questions were from percentages. These were also quiet easy like:
There are total 70 students in the class, 34 girls, find the % of boys.
And some mathematic questions be like. Which one is greater 3/4 or 4/5.
⭐ 2 questions were from general knowledge, like the first president of Pakistan.
What lies in the west of Pakistan etc.
⭐ Some questions were from direction topic. They require a lot of practice, because question’s statements are usually lengthy but the answer is too easy. Must watch videos on YouTube and also do practice.
⭐ 1 or 2 questions were of common sense or judgement.
Note: Most of the questions belong to series, coding and decoding. And practice is the tool to pass the past.
Non-Verbal Portion:
This portion was easy as compared to verbal portion. Same tip, if you find and difficulty in understanding or solving question, just skip and attempt it later.
Academic Portion:
Subject : Psychology.
Time: 80 questions in 35 minutes
Most important topics need to cover
✨ History of Psychology and school of thoughts. Major questions come from school of thoughts.
✨ Learning theories
✨ Structure and function of brain
✨ Research basics
✨ Memory, intelligence (theories must)
✨ Language (theories must) and cognition
✨ Social Psychology (most important, almost 7 to 8 questions were from this topic)
✨ Statistics basic concepts
✨Must read DSM major disorders specially Diagnostic criteria and Differential diagnosis
✨ Assessment measures and testing basics like Type 1 & 2 error, hypothesis types, validity and reliability types etc.
Note: This portion is usually easy and basic but must consult the given topics from the recommended books.
RECOMMENDED BOOKS:
1) Understanding Psychology by Robert Feldman
2) DSM
3) Research methods by Shaughnessy
4) Statistics by Graveter.

Experience about applying as
M Cadet in PN
This is about last year may be it is of any help to people appearing this time
Verbals:
Verbals were just like the ones you practice in groups or doger books.
Total 40 questions
Time management is the most important key.
Don’t waste your time on the ones you don’t know. Just solve the easier ones in 1st go.
In the verbal portion there were some GK questions as well just 2-3 like what’s the standard form of NATO etc.

Non-verbals:
In my preparation i had no problem in solving non verbals but in the actual test i found them tough. I couldn’t understand most of the questions.
In my opinion they were quite difficult like they weren’t the ones that i prepared for.
Total 35 questions
Total time: 30 minutes for both

Documents required on test day:
1- CNIC
2- DMCs of matric, fsc , 1st, 2nd and 3rd prof (in case u don’t have dmc of 3rd prof don’t worry u can give that afterwards)
3- Domicile photocopy
4- 300 Rs
5- 20 Rs for the marker that they give u for rough work

On the day of test reach at centre on time, the officials will check your documents will send you in where you will be briefed about how to take the test and then you will be sent in for test.

Sharing experience of today Test conducted for
3rd LATERAL ENTRY SSC PN
Intelligence consists of 75 questions having 30 minutes time.
The intelligence portion was quite easy. Time Management is the key to success in the intelligence portion.
The academic portion has 80 questions, to be completed in 40 minutes. It was tough. (I applied on an Electrical Engg basis). The whole test was all about electronic and embedded systems, communication systems, IEEE protocols.
Nothing was from GK and English
( as I mentioned in my previous posts but nothing from that side. Can’t say what’s the reason)

My Experience,
Verbal Questions Were include series questions,
If 5 man write 5 papers in 5 min than 1 man will wrire 1 paper in—Min? this is not exact question but aik is taraha ka question aya tha, 1, 2 blood relation wala tha like A & B thier father is C But b is not the son of C? Serious 4 to 5 questions tha Non verbal kuch mushkil tha baki easy tha jo group ma shre kiya gay han
*Academic*Ma prepisition thi zayda, Sentence corrections tha, Synonyms tha 3 to 4, WW1 kab end howi, WW2 kab start howi,Cater ka synonym, correct spelling of *guarantee* , 1 sa 2 correct spelling ka b aya tha, 1 narration ka tha, I will suggest Focus on your English specially(Basic synonym, Active Voice ,And Tenses Future & past, Spelling correction, Thats all), Aik question Chemistry ka tha Barometer kis liya use hot ha(pressure) but confirm this Us ki State k mutalik tha aik question, Koshish kro time managr karna ki Confuse nahi hona jo nhi ata on questions ko skip kro but try to skip less question s much as possible, Tukka b soch samaj k lagao jo answer apko kuch sahi lag raha ho, Pray for my further tests, Jazak Allah
