How to Join the Pakistan Navy through Short Service Commission?

Pakistan Navy announces jobs through the Short Service Commission jobs every November / December. The registration is open for 10 days to weeks. Read the whole post for an understanding of the Pak Navy short service commission.

Criteria

Gender: Male and Female as specified below,
Height: 5 feet 4 inches for males and 5 feet for females minimum
Qualification: Required qualification as entered in each post below

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure consists of the following.

1. Computerized test

1. Verbal and Non-verbal intelligence
2. Subject test

2. Screening Medical examination and Interview

Moreover, The candidates applying for the Operations branch are to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

3. Final Selection

• Only shortlisted candidates as per merit will be called for Tests/ interviews at ISSB.
• Medical Examination of ISSB / personality recommended candidates at the nearest CMH/Naval Hospitals.
• Test /Interview at ISSB except for Medical Branch candidates.
• Personality test at PNR&SC for Medical Branch candidates only.
• Interview by PN Selection Board.
• Final selection will be done by Naval Headquarters in order of merit.

HOW TO REGISTER

Difference between Short course and Long course

Short courses are applied on a Graduate basis. Long courses are applied on an Intermediate basis. The short courses have less training duration about 6 months, that’s why it is called short courses.

Will the ISSB test be held for short courses?

Yes, there will be a similar ISSB 4-day exam as for a long course. There is no difference in the Issb exam.

An Interview by the Naval headquarters will also be held apart from the ISSB exam.
