How to Join the Pakistan Army as AFNS? Complete guidelines

What is AFNS in the Pakistan Army?

AFNS is the abbreviation of Armed Forces Nursing Service. These are Female Nurses who wear female uniforms with officer Ranks and perform the duties of Nursing in the medical field. There are two types of recruitment for AFNS.

• Trained Nurse as Lieutenant (for Nursing Graduates)
• BSc Nursing Course (for FSc Candidates)

Those candidates who have done FSc in Pre-Medical will apply for the 2nd type of AFNS.

Eligibility Requirements

Following are the eligibility requirements for AFNS in the Pakistan army

Age

18-25 for FSc candidates and 18-28 Years for Trained Nurses.

Physical Height

5 feet or more is the height requirement. Less than 5 feet in height are ineligible. There is No Height relaxation.

Marital Status

Unmarried / Single for FSc Candidates,
Both Unmarried and Married for Trained Nurses.

Education qualification

FSc Pre-Medical for BSc Nursing Course
BSc Nursing / 3 Year Diploma and 1 Year Midwife for Trained Nurse Course

AFNS Online Registration Process 2024

1. Generally, AFNS registration started mostly in July/August. However, the Pakistan Army has announced posts for Trained Nurses in February 2024.
2. AFNS online registration 2024 has opened. When opened, you have to register yourself at joinpakarmy.gov.pk through an online registration form. After some days you will get the test date.
3. Take your Original documents with the registration slip while visiting the selection center. A Brochure of Rs 300 will be issued to every applicant. After Document verification, A Stamp will be applied to the backside of the documents.
4. After the verification of documents of all applying candidates, You will go to the Testing Hall. In testing Hall, you will attempt your test on a computer.

AFNS Selection Procedure

The AFNS Selection procedure consists of Initial computerized tests, Medical tests, Interviews, and a Final Merit List.

Computer Test Syllabus

• 1. Intelligence Test which is further divided into
• a. Verbal Test consisted of 84 Questions
  The time allotted for Verbal Intelligence is 30 minutes.
• b. Non-verbal questions consisted of 64 Questions
  The time allotted for the Non-verbal test is 30 minutes.
• 2. Academic Tests
• 50 Questions in 30 min
  (Physics, chemistry, biology, and, English)
• 3 . Personality Tests
  25 Questions in 30 to 35 min

Test Passing Marks

The Test Passing Marks for the AFNS test is 60%, However, You should strive for a higher percentage to book a place in the Final Merit List.

Medical Tests

After clearing all the online computerized tests, You will be called for Initial medical. In the initial medical examination, you will be checked for physical and medical Health. If you clear both the Initial computer test and medical examination then You will fill out certain Bio-data forms and submit them to the respective selection center. Generally, the Form is submitted a day or two after clearing the medical examination.

After Submitting the Forms, You will be called for a GHQ Panel Interview.
After clearing the Interview, short-listed candidates are called for a final medical examination.

GHQ interview Panel Consists of a Psychologist and A senior Officer of Army Rank. Please read the interview guidelines before appearing in an interview. In the interview, you should be:
