How to Join Army Medical Cadet Course?

Do you want to join the Pakistan Army as a medical cadet in army medical colleges? If yes, This post will guide you from A to Z, on how to join the Medical cadet course.

What is the age limit?

The age limit for joining as a medical cadet is 17 to 21 years. Age limit is relaxable up to 03 months both in lower and upper age.

Which gender can apply?

Only male students are eligible to apply. Females can not apply to this course. Only Unmarried people can apply. Married males cannot apply.

What is the physical standards for army medical cadet?

The physical standards are:
Height: 5 Feet and 4 Inches
Chest: 31.5 Inches without expansion
Weight: As per BMI. 46-60 Kg for normal height and 60-72 Kg for 6 feet height.

How much education is required?

Candidates who done Pre-medical in FSc with 70% Marks.
Candidates from the backward areas like Balochistan, FATA, and rural Sindh are allowed on a 65% Marks basis.

A levels with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology with minimum Grade C.

Can FSc 2nd Year Student apply for the post on Basis of Hope Certificate?

Yes, 2nd Year students who have Passed Their Fsc Pre-medical Part-1 with at least 70% marks. They have to sign a Hope certificate from their Headmaster/principal of the college.

What is the Selection Process?

Following is the Selection Process for the Medical Cadet course.

Candidates before online registration must have registered/appeared in the provincial Entry test for the Civil Medical colleges. Those who were not registered or appeared in the Provincial entry test will not be able to apply.

There are different army medical colleges Which are Rawalpindi, Multan, Lahore, Quetta, and Karachi. Candidates have to mention the Name of the Army medical college for which they are applying.

  • Online Registration through Pakistan army official website.
  • IF you are declared SUCCESSFUL in provincial Entry test, then There will be a medical examination of you in the Army selection centers.
  • There will be physical test of the candidates. Physical Test Include
    Running of 1.6 KM in 9 minutes
    15 Pushups in 2 minutes
    20 ReachUps in 2 minutes
    3 Chin Ups in 2 minutes
    Ditch Crossing
  • Intelligence Tests
  • Personality tests
  • GHQ panel Interview
  • Final medical examination
  • Final merit List

What is the Training Program?

  • 05 years at the selected Army medical colleges. MBBS Degree will be awarded after successful completion of training.
  • BDS Course: 04 year of training
  • 22 weeks of Military training in Pakistan Military academy.

What Documents are required at the time of registration?

Following documents are required.

  • 02 Passport size pictures
  • 01 Attested photocopies of Matric and FSc passed examination
  • 01 attested copy of CNIC or Form B
  • Postal order of 100 Ruppees in Favor of Director general of Personal adminstration DGPA, GHQ Rawalpindi.

  1. How many seats are available for medical cadets in AMC Rawalpindi.?
    I think 45..as 55 seats are for open merit

    1. Dua Shakeel, Girls can not apply for medical cadet course. Unfortunately, this course is only for male candidates.

    Sir if I get not recommended in ISSB for the second time after I have passed the AMC initials and before the interview , would I still be eligible?

    1. Dear Muhammad Rizwan, After two times not recommendation in issb, you are not allowed for the 3rd chance untill 16 year education. After doing 16 Year education in certain subjects you are eligible for the 3rd time.

    Sir, I have passed the initials now, and I am once Not Recommended for ISSB before, I have ISSB on 31st August again if I get Not Recommended again will I stand disqualified for AMC or not?

  6. Sir,is it necessary to pass provincial medical test?
    And a candidate having extracted teeth,is it an issue in medical test in selection process?

    1. W.salam, Dear Medical cadet scheme is not announced yet in 2022 by Pakistan army. Please Wait, They will announce Registration very Soon. During registration Dates You have to Register yourself online and they will give you a Test Date. You have to appear the test accordingly.

      Dear Nazar, the AMC candidate after selection gets an education on government expenses. You don’t have to pay anything to the training institutes in the armed forces.
