Pilot officer
This is the first and Junior rank in commissioning in PAF. It is equivalent to 2ND lieutenant in Army. This rank is awarded on completion of 2-year training. This rank is represented by a Single star in PAF. You can see this in the following picture.

Flying officer
This rank is awarded after 4 years of service including training. Aeronautical engineers CAE of PAF have 4 years of training, so they wear Flying officer rank directly after training. Flying officer rank is represented by TWO stars and it is equivalent to Lieutenant in Army.
Flight Lieutenant
This rank is represented by 3 stars and awarded after 6 years of service in PAF. The rank is equivalent to Captain in Army it is one of the most beautiful and eye-catching ranks among junior ranks. Medical Officers and Specialists are awarded flight lieutenant rank directly after their Training.
Squadron leader
The rank of squadron leader is equal to Major in Army. It is a powerful rank. The rank of squadron leader is given after 9/10 years of service. The pilot officer, flying officer, and flight lieutenant work under the rank of squadron leader. You might be heard about this rank name in the Veer Zara movie. Squadron Leader Hassan Siddiqui was the man who shoots down Indian Jet in Feb 2019.
Wing commander
Lieutenant Colonel in the air force is called wing commander. Wing commander leads small and large units. In the air force 2 to 3 hundred airmen, 5 to 10 officer works beneath the wing commander rank.
Group captain
Group captain rank lead wings in the air force. it is awarded after 20-25 years of service based on performance. After the Rank of wing commander, upper ranks are awarded on performance and merit. Service length is just a number.
Air Commodore
The Air Commodore Rank is equivalent to Brigadier in Army. This rank is called Star ranks because, after this rank, One can display a single star on CAR or JEEP. They are counted in VIP ranks.
Air Vice Marshal
TWO-star generals in the air force. If you see a vehicle with TWO-star Flags, that will be Air vice Marshal, AVM.
Air Marshal
Most powerful rank after the chief of air staff. This is a three-star general rank.
Air Chief Marshal
The Rank of the BOSS of the air force. There is only one rank of ACM in the whole air force, that is the Boss of the whole air force who leads the armed force.

W.s, Arooj, yes you can apply for the GDP. 40 Kg wait is OK for girls. Logistics and A&SD branches are perfect.
Can i join pakistan air force now as an airman and then continue my education there and become a gd pilot ?
Yes, You can Join PAf as airman and then you can apply for the GD Pilot post. But remember, There is no special relaxation for airmen. You will apply as normal candidate as other civilian do.
