Lessons Learned from Television series “Sinf e Aahan”
After watching from the television series, we can learn following lessons.
Army (Armed forces) is for anyone, Who have the Potential
Your background does not matter, If you have the potential to join the armed forces as commissioned officer. Once you join, there is no difference between the person belong to a backward area or a modern city. It does not matter you belong to business family, You are from a minority group or whatever else, If you have potential to lead then No one can stop you from Joining the army including Navy and air force.

Equal Training and opportunities
Same Training is provided to all candidate from different backgrounds. There is no separate block for elite class or the unprivileged. There are equal opportunities for all. They did not treat the general son or daughter separately, The General son if any, have to run in the same group where the son of cycle mechanic do run.
Women can lead
Apart from physical limitations, women have their own charisma to run a department or organization. If the woman have potential, she can lead better than men.
Rejecting the stance, “Poor can not get commission in army”
It is you, which is important for the recruitment in the armed forces. If we see look around our society, There are many army officer who belong to a Poor background. So the background is not important for the selection in army. If you have the ability to lead and influence then they will always welcome you.

Army me sifarish chalti hay?
This is one of the question in every candidate when applying in the armed forces recruitment. Shayad aor jagha chalti ho, Ye nai confirm, Because in Pakistani society, there is always a factor of reference. But in case of ISSB board, It is totally wrong. Let me tell the reason.
ISSB function is to choose among the best who are capable to lead, Not the selection of the army officers. Let me explain this through an example.
Pak army need 200 new officers to train in the PMA. They will advertise in the newspaper for the Long course. Let suppose 01 Lakh (100K) registered online. Only 5 thousand were able to clear the initial tests, medical and interview. These 5 thousand candidate will go through the ISSB process. ISSB board will look for the potential candidate among those 5 thousand candidates. ISSB then have a standard criteria to recommend a candidate for the commissioning. If they found 400 out of 5000 recommended, They will recommend all the 400 candidates. They this is the job of respective Headquarters to make the final merit list of 200 candidates out of 400.
But What happen in the actual?
ISSB have a strict criteria to select the best among the best. If a person cannot influence, can not take initiative they will reject that candidate. Therefore read the qualities of the recommended candidates and try to replicate in your self. As we discuss the example of 400 candidate above, In actual scenes, It happens that sometime recommended candidates are less than the required one.

In this post, we tried to discuss the truth and myths about Pakistan army related to commissioned officers. But let me Answer the most criticizing question.
Kia Pakistan Army sirf drama or Gaana banany pe agayi hay?
Pakistan army have various departments to run the force efficiently. There is aviation department which fulfill the flying needs of army, Tank and Artillery to fought in war in specific position, Logistic department to fulfill the supply and chain management etc, etc,etc . Similarly, Army have a small department of 100 to 150 personnel which sole purpose is to create soft image of Pakistan army and to communicate with public through media by various means including television series and national songs. 0.000000000001% of the army person working in ISPR, Remaining Soldiers and officers are defending their country and working in their own domain. Remember, ISPR is not the whole Army. It is a bridge between public and armed forces.
