How to Join Pakistan Airforce as Logistics Officer?

This post will guide you, on how you can join the Pakistan Air Force as a logistics officer through regular courses as well as a short service commission. Let’s understand all related to logistics officers in the Pakistan Air Force.

Who are logistics officers? and what type of job they do.

They are officers with commissioned Ranks, who deal with the Supplies, Inventories, Stocks, procurements, etc. They lead the team of logisticians to meet organizational goals. For Example, Pakistan’s Air Force needs Oil for its aircraft, So It is the job of a logistician to make deals with contractors, purchase the stock, and provide to the Air Force to run the assets. I am not a student of logistics, so any reader with qualifications in supply chain management can explain this better in the comments section.

How can I Apply for the logistics officer?

You can apply for the post if you meet certain standards, Qualifications, Physical standards, and other medical. There are two ways to reach this goal.

Joining PAF as logistics officer after FSc

You can apply for the post after completion of your FSc program. Both Males and Females can apply, but Male vacancies are more repeatedly announced than female posts. Females have to wait for a certain period.

  • Required Qualification: FSs (Pre-Medial, Pre Engineering or Computer Science or any subject combination with Physics)
  • The age requirement is less than 22 years of age on the Joining date.
  • Unmarried
  • The height Requirement is 5 feet and 4 inches for Males and 4 Feet and 10 inches for Females.
  • At least 60% marks as aggregate

After Completion of training as a logistics officer, 04 Year degree will be awarded in aviation management by the Air University.

Joining PAF as Logistics Officer after graduation (16 Years)

You can also join as a logistics officer when you complete your graduation.

  • Age must be less than 30 Years on the Joining date of PAF academy.
  • Graduation (16 Years degree) in any of the following. Logistics, Supply chain management, IT, Computer Science, Management, Finance, Marketing, Chemistry, Maths etc or BE (Engineering Degree)
  • Same height requirement as discussed above.
  • Both married and unmarried can apply for this course.

The training period for the short course is 06 Months Only.

Which one is the more fruitful? Fsc or Graduation?

Both have their importance and advantages. Long courses have a greater tenure of service while short courses can retire after 12 years. Long course have more promotion opportunity up to the rank of Brigdier/ Air commodore.

How to prepare for the Tests?
