How to Join the Pakistan Air Force as a Psychologist?
Do you want to join the Air Force as a psychologist? Read the following criteria.
Criteria for induction in pAF
Maximum Age required for the post: 30 Years on (Joining date, whenever announced)
Education Required: BS, MSc, or M.Phil in psychology subject from HEC-recognized universities
Married and Unmarried both are eligible
Body height required minimum: 5 feet 4 inches
Please note: For Females, the Height requirement is 4 Feet 10 inches.
Minimum marks: 2nd division in annual or 2.5 CGPA out of 4.
Rank on training completion: Flying Officer (Equal to Army Lieutenant)

Registration Deadline
Registration is generally open In February / March. Once the registration is closed, You can not apply after the closing date. Female psychologist posts are announced every two years.

How to Join the Pak Army as a psychologist?
Pakistan Army generally announces registration for the short service commission in November / December. Among the other short service commission jobs, It also includes male psychologist posts.
As we all know, Psychology is a discipline that is studied by the majority not only in Pakistan but all over the world, Here is the bad news for female psychologists, The Pakistan Army does not hire any Female psychologists. The advertisement is only for male psychologists.
For female Psychologists: Keep your hopes alive, as the world changing, the Pakistan army might start female psychologists soon. However, we can not tell exactly, when will Pak army start hiring female psychologists.

Criteria for Male Psychologists in Army
Initial tests will start for the short service commission in January, just after the closing date of online registration.
Marital status
Both Married and unmarried psychologists are allowed to apply.
Height
The minimum for the psychologist post is 5 feet 4 inches. The maximum height in the armed forces is 188 centimeters.
Age
The maximum age for the short service commission as a psychologist is 28 years. The age will be counted till the Joining date mentioned in the advertisement.
Qualification required
MSc or BS Psychology, having a 2.5 CGPA in the semester system and a 2.0 CGPA in the annual system. Applicant should be a regular student while attending the university.
Higher qualifications MS, M.Phil, or PhD will be preferred if qualified by ISSB examination.
Note: If a candidate has earned a degree as a private student without attending regular classes and through direct examinations (from matric to MA/MSc), He is not eligible.

Walekum us Salam, You can apply in Pakistan air force and navy as psychologist. Currently Pakistan army hire psychologists only for ISSB role and tasks, so the recruitment in the army for psychologist post is comparatively less.

Yes, Zamara Tahir, you can apply as female psychologist in Pakistan air force whenever the posts are announced. The male psychologist posts are announced regularly while the female psychologist posts are announced after 1 or 2 year gap. The last time female psychologist posts were announced in Feb-march 2022. You might focus on the Feb-March 2024 batch, as the age limits are wide for the short service commission, i.e. the highest limit is 30 years of age.

Yes, Mehwish, the Flying officer is a commissioned officer rank which is equivalent to Lieutenant in Pakistan army.

Dear Ayesha, Pakistan air force Hire Psychologists based on Msc or BS Psychology. They don’t give specific weightage to Specialised degrees. One can Apply,having simply BS or Master degree in Psychology.

W.Salam, Koi confirm date Nai. PAF Saal me 2 dafa Short service commission jobs announce karti hay. Jis me atleast one time, Psychologist jobs include hoti hen. Kabhi kabhi Ik saal miss b ho jaata hay, 1.5 or 02 year baad vacancies aati hen. Agar Female ki baat karen, To unka to bilkol b Nai confirm, because it is requirement based, generally 02 year bad ho rahi hen announce, Female k liye. Kher, You can apply for Pakistan army or Navy too. So be prepared, Jo b agayi, You should be prepare for the Test process.

The Last time vacancies announced for female Psychologist in Pakistan air force was 2016. The Male Psychologist vacancies were last time announced in 2017 and 2019. So their are chances that Female induction of Psychologist might be advertised in coming year of 2022.

But in registration section there is no portion to apply as psychologist in any of available courses. Also in newspaper there was no mentioning of psychologist.
Dear Sania Kousar, It is clearly mentioned about psychologist posts in the current advertisement. If you read the 129 Education portion, You will find the job about psychologist. Further, In psychology k samnay mention kia hwa hay, Gender: Male and Female. The remaining education branch only Male allowed hen to apply, while in the case of psychology, Both male and female are mentioned, Please read the Current advertisement published on 6th Feb 2020.

Eyesight k baray me pareshan nai hona, Apko direct unfit nai karty. Through Eye specialist check hogay. Agat bahut bara masla hwa, Then Unfit, Otherwise OK.
