Q.What is the role of Psychologist in ISSB?

According to the definition of Psychology, it is the study of behavior and mind, embracing all aspects of conscious and unconscious experience as well as thought. A person who is expert in psychology is known as a Psychologist.
In ISSB, one of the three officers assigned to test you is a psychologist. He checks your written tests that you have given and also analyzes your behavior, mental caliber, your personality and leadership abilities through your interview. He then gives his final remarks on basis of your written tests and interview. The vote of Psychologist is very vital for recommendation because without his vote, you can’t get recommended and also can’t be called for a re-interview.

Q.What is the role of GTO in ISSB?

Group Testing Officer, also known as GTO is one of the three officers that are assigned to test your suitability for defense forces in ISSB. Candidates are divided into various groups of 8-12 members each and every group is given an alphabet (A, B, C etc.) as name of the group. Every group has its own GTO, Psychologist and Deputy President.
GTO is the person with whom you’ll have to spend most of your time at ISSB i.e two days, so its essential that you perform well and in a good manner to secure his vote. GTO checks your co-operation with your group mates, your leadership skills, manners, influencing power, alertness, teamwork, tactics, judgement and physical fitness. To check these aspects, he conducts a number of indoor and outdoor tasks on day 3 and 4 of ISSB. GTO conducts a small interview with the candidate as well.

Q.Does Physical fittness matters in Issb?

As you know your BMI will be checked on your reporting day. There is a simple concept you can also use let your height is 169 cm.Subtract 100 from it..So your weight must be 69 kg or less.
As you will face tough routines in PMA so somehow its important for you to be maintain your BMI before going to issb.
GTO will observe your physical endurance.
In conclusion you will not get not recommend on the basis of it as there is other assesors also. But you must be physical fit.As it will brighter your chances.
Mostly asked Questions

Q.Does Marks matter in Issb?

Ans:Marks give a good impression to assesors. But you are not evaluated on the basis of Marks. As marks represents candidates..
1.IQ
2.Hardwork
3.Consistency
But there is a case that let you get 80% Marks in Matric but you got 60% marks in Fsc.Then Deputy definately inquires your academic why there is a fluctuation in your academic carrier.Rather it is due to financial problems or some other personal Issues.
So in conclusion marks give positive impression but are not a criteria of recommendation in Issb. Some guys have suitable personalities and low academic marks and get recommended. On the other hand there also some candidate who had good academic carrier but there personality is not upto the marks and they got not recommended.
So Be Bold and Improve your personality.

Q.Is Repeaters Issb has some difference?

Issb of repeaters is same as that of fresh one.
But there are little more Questions in Interview. In which he is inquired about his last performance.e.g:Why you are not Recommended last time? etc
And Repeaters should have to do well in GTO Tasks.
As they are experienced so they must come up with full preperation.

Q. Give best tips for Repeaters?

Ans:Repeaters are advise to introspect theirselves before next appearance.
Write down your previous experience.Definately there were lot of blunders you done.
Note your weak points from your experience and work on that.
Now after improving your self.Introspect yourself again before 2nd appearance.
In sha allah you will get best Results.

Q.How merit list is prepared?

Ans=Merit list just like any other merit list. It is formed after the ISSB recommendations are completed and there are more ‘recommended’ individuals then desired. The merit list is likely to be based on you Matric and Inter exams, Initial Test of recruitment center and the marks in ISSB.

Q.Is issb of repeaters has some sought of changing or not?

Ans=There isnt much of a difference. Why should it be? Just that they know that you are wiser than before because of your pst experience of spending 5 x days at ISSB, so yes may be they are not going to ask very basic questions, but that can only be said for the interview. i doubt the GTO would deal with you very differently during his tasks. But surely, they would be very well aware that you are a repeater.
i suggest you stop think about such petty issues and concentrate on your preparations for the ISSBs.

Q.Does the issb test records will effect my next trial or not?

Ans=Yes, they will. They will surely consult your previous performance but then you need not to worry, if that had mattered, Army would nt have allowed a person to appear in ISSB twice.

Promotion of TCC is slower than LC.
If a TCC Cadet is a Captain while PMA Cadet is Major. Go to LC if u want to be able to make to Maj-General or above. Lead Troops in battle, command formations.
After retirement, get a job as GM or ED in FFC, FFBL, AWT, Sugar Mills etcOr Go to TCC Reach Brigadier rank (if lucky) and then retire as director in FWO, NLC, PTCL, NTC, PTA, NRTC, HIT etc.its like buying a corolla over BMW…
Make a career in Army , through a fighting Arm by joining long course.

Q. Difference Between Short Course and Long Course?

Long Course:
Two years training in PMA Kakul. You have to do graduation also with training routine. I mean you have to study also. Its very much tough routine in long course and after completing training you will be graduated and given the rank of 2nd. Lieutenant (2/Lt). Later on you have to serve in any assigned unit. Long course is announced after every six months. Requirements for long course are just FSc. and Age up to
22 years.
Short Course:
6 months training programme in PMA Kakul (No Study as you are applying on the basis of Graduation) after which you will be given the rank of Captain. You will be posted in the unit specifically related to your graduation degree. Like if you have done electrical or mechanical engineering you will be posted in EME Battalion or If you have done some Mphi or M.S or MBA etc you will be posted in Army Education Corps.
I hope you all have got a clear idea of difference between both.

Q) What are the different branches in Pakistan Air Force, Navy and Army where one could apply to become a Pilot? I’m not talking about becoming just a Fighter Pilot but also about the transporters and flying helicopters etc.

Ans=In all these forces their is only one branch which has pilots, in Navy & Army its aviation in PAFits GDP branch. No body joins military to become a specifc type of pilot, its his performance that changes his
destiny…
Categorization is done on basis of pilot’s performance. If he is not capable for fighters( in AF) then he is sent to heliz and transport a/c. Sometimes other reasons changes the fate too eg long torso is not suitable for fighters/tainers because of less space in cockpit so they are sent to transport a/c.

Q. What is ASRC?

Ans. ASRC stands for Army Selection Recruitment Center. It is the place where candidates are selected to serve in Pakistan Army. In every major city, there is an ASRC center.
