You must have 16 year education with English as a Final Major subject. Following degree holders are eligible to apply.

- M.phil English
- PhD English

Training duration in armed forces
- Jobs for English degree holders are announced are SSC(Short Service Commissions).
- Training duration at Pakistan Military Academy, PAF Academy Risalpur, Pakistan Naval Academy is 6 months Respectively.

Opportunities in Pakistan Air force
English Degree Holder can join PAF’s Education Branch as a Lecturar. Sometimes It may require Experience in Teaching. Sometimes fresh graduates can also apply. It all depend on Requirement.
(Martial Status both Married and Unmarried are eligible).
Opportunities in Pakistan Navy
English Degree holders are also eligible for Education Branches same like PAF. But Mostly in Pakistan Navy those who have done MS/Mphill are eligible to apply.

Special Note for Females Applicants
a. In Army, Navy, PAF the subject announcement requirement based hai Females sirf tab he apply karsakte hain jab unke requirement announced ho. Like Males regular basis per eligible nahin.
b. PAF and PN mein Seperate Entries Lecturar ke hote hain Jinmein at least 3 to 5 years teaching Experiences ke requirement hote hai. So Try to get experience if you completed your degrees.

Upper Age limits
- In Pakistan army it is 28 Years
- In PAF it is 30 years
- In Navy, it is 27 Years to 35 years
- The Upper age limit is counted on the Joining date. It means you should have less age than the upper limit on the Joining date

Dear Arsalan, You can apply in the short service commission (English Subject) in all the three armed forces. You should never miss to read the advertisement and looking for the English in Education department of the three forces. The process is similiar for all, Online Registration through the official websites, Appearing in the initial tests, Initial medical and Interview, Physical in case of army, and Then ISSB.

Yes, You can apply in the Education Branch of the Air force, Whenever respective posts are announced.
I am doing Bs Eng , requirements like age, height, weight for training in PMA to join army.
The required height to apply in Pak army lady cadet course is 5 feet. height less than 5 feet is not acceptable. Weight is measured and set standard as per your height. Salam Sir, as there’s an opening for English seat this year for women, can you please guide about the pattern of written tests and what do we need to prepare for the English portion. i did my Bs English, so we studied both literature and language. My question is that do we only need to prepare the grammar part or do we need to prepare the literature part as well? kindly guide

Wsalam, Unfortunately Your age is more than upper age limit. You can’t apply in armed forces.

Dear Zara, are you talking about the associate degree? if yes, the Associate degree holder are not allowed to appear in the lady cadet course until completion of 16 years education.

Dear Maryam, Married females can not apply in lady cadet course. Only un-married single female can apply for the LCC. The lady cadet course is announced once or twice in a year, like in 2021 it was announced once and in 2022 it is announced twice. Although vision requirement are not so strict but more than -3.5 is declared UNFIT. If I talk about the English subject, these post in Pakistan army are announced rarely, due to small number of vacancies.

Yes, You can apply, But keep in mind that there are very few vacancies for the English and you can only apply whenever English posts are announced.

Yes, She can apply in army Education Core Whenever posts are announced. But the posts for the English Dicipline are very limited.. and are announced with years of gap.

Dear Iqra, Can’t say Exactly, as we have No authentic information related to Next advertisement. In Last 02 Courses, There were No vacancies for the English Dicipline, So we can Hope that, It might be Near.

There are only Few vacancies for English degree holders in lady cadet course. You can apply only, once English posts are announced.

If You have not completed your degree then you are not eligible. You can apply after you 8th semester Exams.
